Where to Eat in Phuket
Thai Brasserie by Blue Elephant

The Blue Elephant Restaurant and Cooking School, the acclaimed Bangkok place to dine makes its debut in Phuket! Lending cooking expertise and knowledge to the newly opened Thai Brasserie at Jungceylon, Blue Elephant has backed a menu that features Thai and Asian delights – dishes specially crafted to be enjoyed and savoured.

‘Garnished’ with a stylish setting of a glass-enclosed dining area with a glass circular peak, this newly opened restaurant invokes an eating under the water environment – a unique yet contemporary place to enjoy the vast array of seafood dishes as well as other treats available from the menu of starters, salads, wraps and sandwiches, noodles and soups and main courses.

A medley of delectable fruits from the sea provide great beginnings to the meal. The Deep Fried Prawns with green curry stuffing, the Black Pepper Scallops and the salad of Spicy Raw Salmon Tartar with fresh Thai herbs offer a pleasing variety of tastes from sweet, peppery and chili as well as texture combinations. The display and presentation of these dishes provided a ‘taste’ of the chefs’ creativity and of the warm hospitality and service provided by the restaurant.

Rice and noodles, although staples of an Asian meal, are always enjoyable and welcome additions. The Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken served in half a pineapple and the Stir-fried Thai Style Noodles with prawns were delightful accompaniments.

The Slow Braised New Zealand Lamb in a medium spicy sauce served with a two-coloured side of jasmine rice was a superb main course to be cherished. Tender chunks of lamb delicately spiced provided a melt in the mouth sensation of culinary greatness.

Thai Brasserie offers a vast selection of cocktails, wines and other beverages with an array of signature drinks including the Blue Elephant wine. This Vin d’Alsace from France was the perfect complement to the meal containing flowery, fruit and spice flavours that harmonized with the dishes.

For a remarkable dining occasion, indulge in the harmony of the East Meets West cuisine. With its contemporary setting and impeccable service, Thai Brasserie is not just a stampede of a lone and famous Blue Elephant!
