The Cliff
Superb food and an outstanding location are just several distinguishing traits of a restaurant that contribute to a memorable and unparalleled dining experience. A unique and subtle blend of Mediterranean and Asian flavours offer an extraordinary culinary treat, while breathtaking panoramic views of Karon Beach and the Andaman Sea offer a spectacular visual delight.

Majestically perched atop a hillside, The Cliff is the premier restaurant at Central Karon Village. The private villas and swimming pools of this resort and spa lay nestled in the hillside below the restaurant’s outdoor dining area, while further down, the expanse of Karon Beach is a feast for the eyes before sunset. This terrace is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cocktail against the stunning and colourful backdrop that the setting sun reveals. Fine beginnings to a leisurely evening!

This top rated display continues as more pleasant surprises, each with different combinations of colours, textures and tastes are savoured throughout dinner. With a natural flair for cooking and an innovative approach to cuisine, Executive Chef Atthawut Luang-ngam successfully marries eastern and western flavours, providing sumptuous and satisfying delicacies for every course.

Thin slices of raw Yellow Fin Tuna with white beans vinaigrette and lemon complemented by shallot crisps were a tantalizing and refreshing start to an enjoyable and leisurely meal. Served in a coffee cup and with a half lobster tail, the Lobster Cappuccino with salmon ravioli and lemongrass essence was a surprising variation on a delicious soup. The Seared Snow Fish Fillets complemented by saffron and pesto sauce and served with black noodles was not only an outstanding blend of a succulent and perfectly cooked fish and pasta, but was also unique in both its colourful and imaginative presentation. For dessert, we enjoyed a Tiramisu with fruit topped with cream sauce.

Our wine for the evening was a Chilean Merlot, a carefully selected wine served by the Central Hotels & Resorts Group.

Exquisitely prepared and presented food, an unsurpassed location and friendly service make for a memorable evening.
