Tropical ‘Beats and Eats’ at Dream Beach Club
Located in a pristine beachfront setting with ultra-chic sun loungers and private cabanas, Dream Beach Club serves up light bites by the pool as well as meals hearty enough to fuel a long night of dancing. Choose to dine indoors or al fresco with a refreshing tropical cocktail in hand as the sun sets across Layan Beach.
Dream Beach Club is a multi-story club which features two pools, a restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining options, four bars with the rooftop bar, Level One Ultra Lounge and Terrace Bar, being the most popular. There is plenty to choose from in terms of food, and with a dedicated focus on an all-new Nikkei menu featuring a variety of scrumptious à la carte delights, Dream Beach Club breathes a very welcome breath of fresh air into Phuket’s beach club dining scene.
Popular à la carte menu items from the Nikkei menu include ceviches, creative rolls with ingredients such as salmon, prawns and hamachi, as well as interesting sushi options like Wagyu Sushi. The light bites provide just the right amount of sustenance for a day of fun in the sun. If you are looking for a heartier meal, the original Dream Beach Club food menu features pizzas, steaks, burgers and more.
The day I visit Dream Beach Club is an absolute scorcher. The meet and greet staff are super-friendly and show us to an outdoor table immediately. The vibe at Dream Beach Club is postcard perfect. Lush and tropical, the pool is inviting while there is instant access to the beach as well. I order a very pretty Apple Mint Refresher Mocktail made especially by the popular staff member, Big Boi, and my dining partner orders an exceptionally strong cocktail called Overnight in Phuket.
We choose a variety of dishes from the Nikkei menu and the regular menu, and I must admit, before I even bite into the food I am impressed. The presentation is spot on. The dishes are colourful, aromatic and mouthwatering to look at. We have ordered Spaghetti with Prawns, Tacos with Prawns, Pizza Proscuitto Funghi, Seafood Ceviche, Foie Gras Sushi and a Trio of Dips, which features Classic Hummus, Beetroot Hummus and Guacamole.
The food is fresh and stimulating. The tacos and seafood ceviche are zesty and citrusy and each bite is light and refreshing. I’m a big fan of the Trio of Dips. The classic hummus is perfect. It is not too oily and has a creamy texture. Pizza Proscuitto Funghi is also delicious. The crust is crispy and from the first bite it is easy to tell that the pizza cheese is of really high quality. The Foie Gras Sushi is a great combination and sure to be a hit.
All in all, it’s a great day of tropical beats and eats at Dream Beach Club. The venue is perfect for a day in the sun, the food is delicious and the drinks refreshing and cool.
